With an entertaining language, this is a book full of anecdotes, quotes and personal experiences, where the author explains the practical tricks that he uses to avoid the fear to the blank page and to procrastination. He appeals to ingenious methods to stimulate the imagination and generate ideas, to write them down correctly and to create structures, characters and dialogue in stages, as if the writer was climbing a staircase of nine steps, enjoying the rise, becoming writing into a funny game. Thanks to his role as producer, the author also explains methods and tips to facilitate the sale and marketing of a script.
Los muertos van deprisa (2009)
Screenplay of the movie ‘Lost in Galicia’, a comedy that tells the story of Irene, a woman who is also a truck driver. She travels to a small Galician fishing village in search of seafood to transport, but her truck gets stuck in a bridge that links the village to the cemetery. That happens the same day that dies Filomeno’s father, who heads the Brotherhood of Shelfish.
O descenso do derradeiro ocaso (2005)
This novella won the IV Contest “Relatos por Entregas”, organized by the newspaper La Voz de Galicia, and it was published by Editorial Sotelo Blanco. The novella tells the story of two TV journalist, Esther and Xema, that travel to a curious Galician village on the border with Portugal. The women travel there looking for a report about the death cult in Galicia, but they finally find a mystery of a missing man.
Finalist of III Contest “Relatos por Entregas”, organized by La Voz de Galicia. It was published by Editorial Mandaio, Biblos Clube (A Coruña), and it is a historical thriller that sets the action in the twelfth century, when Pope Calixto II sent Cardinal Guido de Compostela Burgundy to judge the bishop Gelmirez, accused by the people of nepotism. At the same time, in Compostela there are a series of mysterious murders that must be investigated by the papal nuncio and his assistant, a young and inexperienced priest with the invaluable help of a smart Jewish girl. A time of social upheaval and stately intrigue in which Galicia’s political future was determined.
El cuento del aval (2001)
Short story in which the tooth fairy borrows the wolf’s bank to expand its business, but the bills will not go as she expected. This story was the winner of the contest “Relatos de Verán” organized by La Voz de Galicia, and it was published in the press and in compilation book by Editorial Ir Indo.
